Day 1: Astronaut Lecture

Not since 1970 has Limerick played host to an Apollo era Astronaut. This Astronaut Lecture event is a unique experience to hear from one of only 24 men to have travelled to the moon. Take the opportunity to hear Al Worden’s amazing story. On the night…

  • Doors will open 1 hour 15 minutes prior to lecture, at 6:45pm to facilitate a photo opportunity with Al Worden.
  • We will be offering an opportunity for you to meet Al in person and have personal & professional photograph with Al. Your photograph will be printed and available on the night and makes a great memento of the evening, especially when autographed by Al.
  • Astronaut Lecture will commence at 8:00pm with Al Worden giving an insightful talk of his personal experience on his Apollo mission to the moon.
  • After the lecture there will be an opportunity for attendees to get an item autographed by Al.


The Millennium Theatre LIT
