It is 45 years since man first set foot on the moon, and 42 years since man last returned. Limerick last played host to an Apollo era astronaut in 1970, with the visit of the Apollo 13 crew. Take this unique opportunity to meet with Al Worden in a comfortable social setting, enjoy drinks & dinner, network with a gathering of individuals interested in aerospace & the Apollo space program. Where else in Ireland will you meet an Astronaut who has flown to the moon?
Additionally, Dr. Niall Smith from CIT Blackrock Observatory in Cork, will be a guest speaker at our dinner event.
During the course of dinner we will hear from Al on his experience in preparing for and undertaking a mission to the moon.
Envisage Photography will be taking photos prior to dinner on the night, you with Al Worden. Photos will be printed and available on the night for autograph by Al. As photographs are optional, these are charged separately at €10, payable on the night.
After dinner there will be an opportunity to have an artifact autographed, that can be the photograph printed on the night or a personal item you are welcome to bring with you on the night.
